Solar Thermal Power Plant

About the project

A 50MW  large-scale solar thermal power grid that sends the energy generated to the Combined Regional grid i.e. Northern, Eastern, Western, and North-Eastern grids(NEWNE) of India.

At a glance

  • Supplies 118,866 MWh to the grid per year
  • Displaces 1,131,600 tons of carbon dioxide emissions during the crediting period

Project Benefits

  • Replaces the need for fossil-fuel powered power plants fed to the NEWNE power grip
  • Promotes the use of clean, renewable energy in India

Carbon offset

275615 kg

Project Benefits

Clean Water and Sanitation. Clean, accesible water for all is an essential part of the world we want to live in.
Affordable and Clean Energy. Energy is essential to nearly every major change and opportunity.
Decent Work and Economic Growth.Sustainable economic growth will require socieitie to create the conditions to have quality jobs.

How it works

  • Project developer funds the project and it's development within the community
  • Solar panels are installed and begin to harness energy from the sun
  • Energy generated from the facility is sent to the NEWNE power grid, displacing the need for energy generated from fossil fuels
  • Further, the project developer provides support and social programs within the community to increase local quality of life in addition to the reduction in fossil fuels
